Stream Opens New Contact Center in Downtown Santo Domingo

Richardson, TX, October 8, 2007 — Stream, a global customer support outsourcer, today announced the opening of its third contact center in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Stream’s convenient new downtown facility will provide approximately 500 jobs at its full capacity.

The site will initially support account growth with a major North American entertainment company. Stream is immediately hiring for 400 permanent positions, with training set to begin October 15th.

“The opening of Stream’s third Santo Domingo site indicates the great success we’ve experienced here,” said Toni Portmann, CEO and president. “The Dominican Republic has been a critical part of our global strategy over the past two years, and we look for that to continue well into the future.”

Stream’s San Isidro location opened in August 2005, and was followed by the November 2006 arrival of its Cyberpark facility in the Boca Chica area. The third location brings Stream’s local footprint to 1454 seats, or approximately 1600 jobs including management and support departments.

The central location of the new site will offer numerous conveniences to its employees with proximity to public transportation, several local colleges and schools, and other amenities the city offers.

“Aside from these conveniences, new employees will receive competitive wages, benefits, and paid training,” said Victor Burgess, vice president, Caribbean and Latin America operations. “Applicants need good English language skills, and solid computer knowledge; however, Stream’s company mission is to deliver an exceptional customer experience. With this in mind, great customer service skills are also very important.”

According to Mr. Burgess, Stream’s greatest opportunities are in the company’s skill development programs. For example, Stream University—an online learning tool—offers a variety of classes related to professional certifications, desktop and Web applications, networking, and management skills.

“Stream University’s Web-based coursework is a unique way of developing talent within the company’s existing employee base,” said Mr. Burgess. “It’s also a vital tool for personal growth and professional development.”

In addition to the jobs available at the new downtown site, Stream’s other locations in San Isidro and Cyberpark are also looking to fill a variety of positions. Complete job descriptions are available at www.stream.com, where interested individuals can also complete an online application.
